Custom luxury homes and high-end extensions · Moonee Valley, Melbourne
Twenty-four steps, one year of someone's life, laid out before they have spoken to anyone.
Sheridan Building, sheridanbuilding.com.au
Where they were
Sheridan Building has put up custom homes and high-end extensions around Moonee Valley since 2007, run by brothers Jarrod and Travis Sheridan with three generations of family construction behind them. A custom build is a year of someone's life and the largest cheque they will write, and the decision about who runs that year is almost always made before a builder is in the room. What they wanted shown was the journey itself: what actually happens, in order, from the first questionnaire to twelve weeks after the keys are handed over. That, and their clearest point of difference, a full-scale virtual walkthrough of the design before it is built, both used to live inside a meeting nobody had booked yet.
What they needed
- Show the whole customer journey, stage by stage, to someone who has not committed to a conversation
- Put the full-scale virtual design walkthrough in front of people who have not yet agreed to meet
- Make two named founder-directors and three generations of family construction impossible to miss
- Answer the process questions that otherwise consume an entire first phone call
- Give someone who is months away from committing a reason to leave their details today
- Place proof from past clients at the exact point a visitor decides whether to enquire
- Show finished homes and unbuilt designs at the standard a luxury buyer judges a builder by
- Stay online and current without either brother having to think about it
What it did for the business
The whole year is on the page before the first phone call.
The Process page sets the build out as 24 named stages in order: first questionnaire and site meeting, design, council permits, engineering and soil reports, the construction contract, the build, handover, then twelve weeks of aftercare. A visitor reads the entire journey before speaking to anyone, so the call that follows starts at their project rather than at how building works.
The 24 stages, grouped into the four the customer actually feels.
Their best pitch now reaches people who never booked a meeting.
The full-scale virtual design walkthrough is what separates Sheridan Building from the other names on a homeowner's shortlist, and it used to be something you had to sit in a room to see. It is on the public site instead, working while someone is still deciding who to call.
The walkthrough moved out of the meeting and onto the public site.
The question under every other question is answered on the first screen.
In a custom build the real anxiety is handing a very large sum to a stranger. Two named founder-directors, brothers, and three generations of family construction are visible up front, so a visitor knows who they would be dealing with before they have to ask. That is reassurance neither brother has to deliver in person, one meeting at a time.
Who you would actually be dealing with, on the first screen.
People who are months away from committing still become contacts.
Most custom home buyers are not ready to enquire. They are reading. "The ABC of Building" brochure gives them a reason to leave their details long before they are ready to talk, which turns quiet research traffic into a list of real homeowners to follow up. 38 brochure downloads in the 90 days to 2026-09-15.
A reader who is not ready to call still leaves a way to reach them.
Proof sits exactly where the hesitation is.
Three client testimonials about precision, communication and execution sit on the page where a visitor is deciding whether to enquire, rather than on a separate page almost nobody opens. The doubt and the answer to it are in the same place, at the same moment.
Client proof placed at the decision, not on a page of its own.
The work is judged in the format buyers actually judge it in.
Luxury homes are bought with the eyes. Portfolio galleries and video showcases put finished houses and unbuilt designs in front of someone at full size, on whatever device they are holding, at the point they are ranking three or four builders against each other.
Full-size galleries and video on whatever screen they are holding.
It runs without either brother thinking about it.
We have hosted and looked after the site since it went live in December 2025. Jarrod and Travis run a building company, not a website. Keeping it online, current and reachable never lands on their desk.
The site stays current without either brother touching it.
